Well aqua is felling mush better after I clened hes tank

Hi everyone! I finally got my light at the fish store! I love it! It is a great addition to the tank! It sits right on top of my tank. I don’t keep the light on in the daylight, because my fish is sitting on my dresser in front of my window and he gets enough light in the daytime. NOTE: you should not keep your fish in front of a window where it can get direct sunlight. I have a curtain in front of my window, and my window is closed most of the time, so Flo, (My fish) is not getting direct sunlight. If you have a your fish in front of a window where it is getting direct sunlight, I suggest you move your fish. Direct sunlight can harm your fish. Anyway, back to the fish light, I can see Flo so much better! If there is a special light that you can get for your fish tank, I would reccomend it. I love my light!

I just wanted to tell you that my betta fish Flo is doing great! She is making lots of bubble nests. Every time I come up to the tank she comes up to the edge and looks at me. It is so cute! Also, I will be getting my light in tomorrow, (If you didn’t read my other post, scroll down to Betta Fish Light) so tomorrow I will try to post if I like the light or not and how it works for me.

Aqua has been acting a little weird lately like not making bubble nest, little sluggish, and not eating. Just wondering what wrong with him if you know please tell me . This is the one I got at petco the worst place to buy bettas

Has anyone ordered a Betta straight from the breeders in Thailand or Sri Lanka? I’ve been thinking about it lately, and I’m wondering if it will be worth it.

As I said in my last post I have three bettas Flare, Rainbow, and aqua. When I got aqua he was in ok health I got hem at petco which is the worst store to buy battas. Then my other two I got at petsmart and where in great health.

I wanted to show you all my betta fish named Flo! The pictures aren’t very close or good but if you can’t see him he is red and a male. One of him is up close, and the other one is of his whole tank.

Hello! My fish, (Flo) is doing very well. I use the pellets to feed my him. I feed him 4 pellets one day and then the next day I feed him three pellets. I think that system is working for him because he is swimming around very activly and is looking great. On Sunday’s I don’t feed him anything. It is his “Fasting Day” as I call it. I think it is good for him because it gives him a change to digest everything and just take a break. It is very important that you don’t overfeed your betta fish. If you do it can cause him to get ill. If you notice your fish looking a little bit chubby or bigger, cut back on the feeding. I also give him a treat, (usually a little bit egg) Once or twice a week. He really enjoys treats!

Hello! I am going to get a light for my betta fish tank. My cousin has one for her tank and she loves it. She says it is great and she can see her betta fish a lot more clearly. It fits right on the certain tank that I have. I hope this light will really be a help. I will keep you posted when the light comes in, (The fish shop had to order the light and it didn’t come in yet) and tell you if I like it.

Mickey is doing quite well. He is really thriving in the tank. I haven’t cleaned the tank yet and have been putting nitrous reducing drops in. The real test will be over the next few days as I will be away. I have someone watching the fish so I hope everything goes well. Other than that he likes to play with the bamboo stick and my finger and has been super active.

Ok so I know I just said I was going to wait, but I really missed my fishy. So last night I purchased a new Betta. I know its soon but I really missed looking over and watching the fish. I’m sticking to the same ‘m’ names so I’d like to introduce Mickeymoto, or Mickey for short. He is red and blue,and so far he is loving his new tank. Yes I went through all the steps before putting him in and he’s really happy. So here are some pics of him.

Well I’m very sad today. Last night Maxi wasn’t acting his usual self. He wasn’t zipping and darting around the water or begging to be fed. I looked him over carefully but there didn’t seem to be any problems. The water had just been changed on Friday and was clear. I tested the water and everything was normal. I just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. Well as soon as I woke up this morning I just knew something went wrong. And I was right. Maxi was not alive this morning. I just wish I knew what got to him. He was young and I’ve only had him 4 months.

I’m a bit scared to purchase another fish because this is the second one thats died in 8 months. Maybe when we return form our trip I’ll try again. If any of you have suggestions on how to keep the new one alive, I’m all ears.

With spring here my fish has been very active. He is swimming up and down and all around! I finally got around to giving him a bit of egg for a treat.

Make sure its a pretty small piece, like a piece from the side of the pan when you scramble some eggs. I put it on tweezers and fed it to him. He really enjoyed it. So if you want to try it, make sure the eggs are unseasoned and its a small piece or they will chock.

Well, this week has been hectic. so I haven’t had much time to write…. This week I went to the store look for something to feed my fish for an entire week, while I’m gone for spring break. so i picked up these 7 day feeders fore bettas. they have bloodworms and various other goodies in there, I’m gonna try them this week. I’ll report back how they worked.
