I just bought a betta fish as a gift, so I have a few questions.

1. It's still in the tiny container it came in from the petstore, so how long can I leave it in there?

2. How do I get it to open up its fins?

3. The tank I bought came with a divider, so is it wise to put two bettas in direct view of each other (they can see each other, but they can't create any physical contact), or will that cause undue stress on them? Should I just put them in two separate tanks?

Thanks a lot
